New Forest Furniture Company is located within The Furlong Pine Shop, which has travelled a long way from a crammed little shop spilling out on to the pavement, to a truly splendid showroom with the biggest range of wood furniture in the South. The little shop where David Smith started still remains as an important part of their operation and a reminder of how it all started. It is now known as the Old Timber Company and houses a wide selection of old and reclaimed pine furniture as well as end of lines and special offers.
The Furlong Pine Shop is located in the Furlong Centre in Ringwood, and their showrooms now vie with Waitrose to be the largest in the Centre. The Furlong Centre is a beautiful development, with a lovely old world charm. They have a small fleet of distinctive vans for deliveries and these can often be seen locally, as well as further afield. Furniture has been sent all over the world but it is the local people who keep coming back and to which the shop owes its real success.
