respect and care for our natural surroundings at all times.
Strictly managed Redwood forests in Scandinavia provide us with the raw materials
and
inspiration needed to bring the natural beauty if pine into our homes without
causing
any detrimental effect on the environment.
For each single tree felled approximately six are re-planted in its place. Young
trees are
the most effective absorbers of carbon dioxide and this together with Pinétum's use
of
environmentally friendly glues, stains, waxes and lacquers ensure that Pinétum is
helping to safeguard the world in which we live.
Waxed furniture has a soft finish which requires a certain amount of care and
attention.
Caution should be taken when placing objects on a waxed piece of furniture and we
recommend using coasters and mats when hot or wet objects are involved.
Do not use furniture polishes and sprays on waxed furniture. Dusting with a clean
dry
cloth is more than adequate or use a natural wax such as bees wax.
The lacquer finish is much tougher than wax. It has a satin finish which is heat
resistant and spills can be wiped with a clean damp cloth.
Furniture polish can be used in moderation on lacquered furniture. |
